With a nod to my stockings, I’ve finished the large sweeping hem and a curved overlay with a 3/4-inch band. Then adorned with 7 large covered buttons in the colors of your choosing. The buttons hold the overlay in place and are held tight with plastic washers and stainless steel cotter pins to protect curious pets and toddlers.
These skirts measure a generous 54-inches in diameter. The skirt opens with a hemmed opening down the back.

STYLING TIP: As with many decorator fabrics, this linen is heavy and drapey. If your tree stand has prominent legs, soften the lines of the legs by filling between the legs with batting or wadded up plastic grocery bags.
